Renderosity and PrettyMystical recently announced they have partnered to co-sponsor a Facebook-driven fantasy art contest with a $1,000 Grand Prize.
"We are ecstatic that Renderosity is our partner in this project as they were definitely our first choice. Our goals are perfectly aligned as Renderosity has always supported all forms of art not just renders," said Rick Merriman, the founder of PrettyMystical. "You can also see by their product offering they cater to those artists who create more 'Artistic' work and not just to those artists who prefer good technical Photorealism. It is important to us that all artist needs are served. I could not be happier with their participation in the contest and interest in PrettyMystical’s desire to develop ways artists can derive an income from their talent."
PrettyMystical is a retailer of fantasy-based apparel and art prints with an extremely active Facebook community of more than 25,000 fantasy art lovers and actively engage and create ways fantasy artists can promote and/or sell their work while still providing quality art to their valued followers.
"We were honored when PrettyMysical reached out to us," said Michelle Willard, Renderosity marketing manager. "Our community is filled with fantastic fantasy art creators. This is a great opportunity for the rest of the world to see what we see every day in our Galleries, talented digital artists who deserve to be honored."
In the contest, multiple runners-up and honorable mention prizes will also be awarded. There is no entry fee or obligation to enter the contest. This is not only a 3D rendering contest (though 3D is actively desired) but rather a digital art contest where any fantasy art and art style is welcome regardless of the software used to create it. Traditional art entries are also welcome if they have been scanned or properly digitized.
All accepted art will also be placed on the PrettyMystical.com website as a non-exclusive art print for sale.
Entries may also be viewed collectively in a special section of the Renderosity Gallery. The images must still be submitted to PrettyMystical.
