From his home in Turkey, Murat Tayfun creates products for the Renderosity community that truly live up to his username, Pretty3D.
With nearly 100 sexy creations in his store, Pretty3D is has a particular gift for creating provocative female figures in a wide variety of settings and poses.
All of his creations are detailed and well-executed in addition to being imaginative variations from the female warrior to the femme fatale.
We had a chance to chat with Pretty3D and asked him about his background and working methods.

How long have you been creating digital art and why did you start? When and why did you join the Renderosity community?
Pretty3D: I've been working on Digital Arts for 18 years. I'd started as a hobby at the beginning. I was making short animations in my spare time. I needed some models for my project. When I was searching these models at the internet, I saw Renderosity and I saw that the many things that I produced as my hobby makes some money here. Then, I uploaded some of them to try what's happening. And then it became my job.
What inspires your creations?
Pretty3D: I inspire of daily life and movies.
What is your favorite thing to design?
Pretty3D: Mostly, I like to produce fantasy warrior sets and the costumes of game heroes. These are most funny projects for me.
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
Pretty3D: I was 23 when I purchased my first personal computer and the only thing that I knew was to press to button and switch on it. I didn't have any education nor any help about digital arts. I learnt everything what I know by myself completely. After then I started earning money after 2 years.
How did you manage to teach yourself 3D modeling?
Pretty3D: After I got my first PC, I started to buy a PC magazine to understand this world. I saw a trial version of 3 Studio Max in here. I've already heard that this software was used in movie sector and so that I wanted to examine this software because I do interested in movie industry. I did some simple movement animations with a few small balls and squares and I saw that this is very funny really crazy. Then I decided to learn this job. I succed to improve for myself by reading some books and some tutorials about 3DS.
Did you have previous experience in art?
Pretty3D: Yes. I was very interseted in painting since my childhood and I've had many works. Then I started to deal with music. First , I played classical guitar then I passed to electronical guitar but I did all these art branches as an amateur not as a professional.
How did that experience help you in becoming a 3D artist?
Pretty3D: I've always had some ability to the arts and I guess this improved my creativity . I can say, when the ability and the creativity comes together, it makes easier to be succesful at any branche of arts.
What is the typical workflow on an item you create for your store? What applications do you generally use?
Pretty3D: First of all, I imagine what will I do then I pass to modelling stage. After I finish the outline of the model I make the textures of the model and then I take some test renders. If it is ok then I make the details, and morphs. I use many different methods for making morph because of getting more realistic movements ability. After morphs, I make texture details and pack it. I use 3D Studio Max for modelling, Adobe Photoshop CS6 for mappinp and also some little softwares help me for working.
Do you have any advice for someone who wants to become a vendor at Renderosity?
Pretty3D: I recommend to beginners to pay attention to details. They must ask to themselves; what kind of things that is important when they buy something from the store. Think about it and try to make models without any mistake and don't forget every product is the reference of the following one.
