The animated film Augenblicke (A Blink of an Eye) is one of the four finalists for the Student Academy Awards 2018 in the Animation category (International Film Schools).
"Relevance. Intensity. Originality. All our leitmotifs are expressed in the film Augenblicke (A Blink of an Eye) at the highest level. That is why we are particularly pleased about the nomination of the film for the Student Academy Awards. Congratulations to Kiana Naghshineh and her team!," said Prof. Andreas Hykade, Director of Animationsinstitut.
The diploma project of Kiana Naghshineh (director, producer, animation with the participation of Janina Putzker) was created at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg’s Animationsinstitut.
The Student Academy Awards will be presented on Oct. 11.
In the 2D-animated short film Augenblicke a woman on her way home at night gets attacked by a stranger. The point of view switches between man and woman. Reality and fears blur into each other. Augenblicke provides three perceptions of only one truth – hers, his and ours. The film shows that the topic is more complex than it may seem to outsiders.
Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and Animationsinstitut keep their fingers crossed for the Augenblicke team, Hykade said.
