I recently moved to Greenville, SC and I'm looking at the artist scene so I can write interesting articles for our fellow readers. I'm always looking for interesting events to attend and artists to get to know. Therefore, if you know someone who would be a good fit, please reach out to me.
While cleaning my closet - yeah, unfortunately, I had to do that - I heard the radio mention Comic Con in Greenville. I thought Comic Con was in major cities like New York, Nashville, LA and Philadelphia. But, I was wrong and I'm happy to announce that Comic Con is happening this weekend.
So, if you're looking to go, it's at the TD CONVENTION CENTER on Saturday from 10am-6pm and Sunday from 12pm-5pm. On Saturday, you'll pay $17.00 and on Sunday you'll dish out $12.00. If you plan on going both days, it's a mere $24.00. You can't beat that, right?
Here's some history behind this event, according to sccomicon.com, Rob Young, owner of Borderlands Comics and Games, had a dream to bring a top-quality comics and gaming convention to his home of Greenville, SC--one of the fastest growing cities in the country and frequently mentioned on lists of Top 10 US cities to visit.
Over the years, his vision of a large-scale, family-friendly event bringing together top artists and vendors with the world's best fans only grew until it could be contained no longer!
With the support of his wife, Michele, and the local community of loyal fans and customers of Borderlands, Rob's dream became a reality in 2014, with the launch of the first SC Comicon. That first event exceeded all expectations, and every year the event gets even bigger and better. The 2017 SC Comicon is expected to be the biggest yet!
So... if you're looking for something to do, you should definitely check out Comic Con in Greenville this weekend, March 25-26th.
